Whispers White
Rejoice! We have done our taxes. And it looks like the Lord blessed us with exactly the right amount of money. I would have gladly taken more & put it to good use, but I did pray for just enough to get us by. And that's what He did. So, we could possibly be moving into our own place come March 1st. We have found a little house in Eudora, Kansas that looks perfect from the outside. We actually have not seen the inside yet because of the previous renters circumstances, but I have a good feeling.
Isn't it as cute as a button? Underneath all that snow are some flowerbeds & a gravel driveway. It has a huge front yard & a decently sized backyard, perfect for little Shigo. I am excited to mow. I think I've lost my mind! Haha. It was two bedrooms, one bath, an "unusually" large sized living room, & maybe a basement. We have heard conflicting reports. I hope it does though, so Levi can have a 'splicing symposium' of his own :-) We'll see what God's plans are. They seem to constantly be different then ours!
Well, Levi might be heading to Saint Louis, Missouri with his tree company to help clean up after the snow/ice storm. I guess the weather that way was worse then ours. He could be gone one to two weeks. I will miss him very much, but you can't turn down a blessing. We shall see!
Hope everybody is keeping safe & warm!

Shigo (Middle Name Pending) Parkin

{Photo courtesy of my Uncle Andrew}
Well, somewhere in that pile of puppies is Shigo (Middle Name Pending) Parkin. We haven't met him yet, or even seen exactly what he looks like. Love is blind, right? I know he'll be precious no matter what. I am so excited to be a puppy mommy. Because let's face it, being a kitty mommy isn't very rewarding. Cats are too independent & I really want something to depend on me.
Shigo? That's an interesting name. Learn more about who our little boy is named after >>> http://shigoandtrees.com/index.php?_a=viewDoc&docId=5
In other news, I began work on the throw pillows today. My plan was sort of thwarted. when I discovered that Levi had taken my car to work & that my sewing machine was still in the trunk. I did get all the pieces cut out, though. The pattern calls for fringe. Like, tacky (no offense to anyone who likes tacky...) decorating fringe, & I was just going to toss that element out all together. But, after further brainstorming I have decided to use POM-POM fringe. Because, it by no means is tacky (HAHAHA). I just like the vintage, fun, and youthful look it has. I am thinking of using cream to match the buttons I chose. What do you think?
Is everybody enjoying the "storm of the century"? I mean, it's just raining...
